| i could monopolize all of my time with you.
| | |
| last tuesday i came to realize that the most beautiful person ever was sitting right under my nose.
i love it. i love what Christ is doing.
| | |
| i ran.
...yeah, once we got there and i saw everyone all ready to go i was
like, "nope...gotta run this race." so, i did. and my calf is still
pretty angry. meh. so worth it.
the day was perfect to run in! i even placed 4th in my age division. i was pretty excited...
Kati did beautifully too! i'm so proud of her!

Kati's pre-race food...and 9 hot dogs...

the "coffee" that i got tasted a whole lot like alcohol. so, i got something different.

that was right before racetime...we were actually late to the starting line! meh.
so, here's what i was MOST excited about. As i was running
towards the finish line i was dwelling on the idea that running
distances is just like our life here with Christ. we don't give
up; we perservere. When you run distances you have to train
yourself and build stamina. it's the same thing with
Christ! We're not with Him yet; but, we're coming close on the
halfway mark! Our job isn't to stop and walk to catch our breath;
actually, we keep running the race. i love it. i love it
tremendously.
and guys, there is nothing better than running across the finish line
having completed the race. Being successful and not
quitting...what a reward. Our reward will be so much more than we
could ever imagine! And we're so close!

| whoa.
guess what?
I PULLED MY STINKIN' CALF MUSCLE. you say, "so what Colleen?"...
well, insensitive jerk, i'm running a road race tomorrow in Salisbury
and i don't know if i'm going to be able to. LAME. LAME. LAME.
i'm so upset. i was dancing yesterday and i knew i had done
something to it....and then i danced this morning and was like,
"craaaaaaap." yep. totally discouraged. (so...call me and
tell me everything is going to be fine and i'm going to run and set a
PR for myself.)
:) so i went to Asylum today because they are having a beautiful sale
and wanted to check out what they had....i'm in the market for new
equipment! well, they didn't have any boards that i liked BUT i saw
these GORGEOUS Burton pants and jacket....ohh chill....they were soo
crucial. so, after much deliberation i decided to get them. and
they are soooooooooooooooooooo beautiful!! even better, amy and i
are going up to Whitetail on Friday so....sweeet! i'll wait on
getting a new board until after the season.
so, yes, i'm about to do laundry cause i need my running stuff cleaned! (it's been about a month....ha ha)
oh! last night Steve, Tisa, and I went out to Frostburg to see Mae and
Lovedrug. unfortunately Lovedrug blew one of the speakers and so
everyone sounded gross. but regardless, we had fun. yep yep
yep.
and thats that. so, hey, tomorrow? go spend time outside
and with your creator...and then tell me what you learned. it'll
be excellent!

...and i had chinese for lunch with Tisa....

... and applied to University of Maryland to finish my Biology degree...
...and now i'm going for a run.
